L’Unione europea ha concordato misure temporanee per alleggerire le bollette energetiche, ma non ha modificato il sistema di scambio delle emissioni, come chiedeva il governo italiano. La presidente del Consiglio Giorgia Meloni non è riuscita a ottenere cambiamenti alle regole, che fissano un costo per le emissioni di gas serra. Dopo il mancato accordo, il governo punta a ottenere maggiore flessibilità sui limiti al deficit pubblico. Le misure sulle bollette sono temporanee; la richiesta sul deficit riguarda i margini di spesa consentiti all’Italia.
