Golf: McIlroy in cerca di soddisfazioni al Wells Fargo Championship (Di martedì 7 maggio 2024) Va in scena al Quail Hollow Club il Wells Fargo Championship, ormai l’evento tradizionale nella North Carolina, e precisamente a Charlotte, del PGA Tour. Si precede il PGA Championship, e non è decisamente un caso il fatto che partecipino diversi big per tentare di succedere a Wyndham Clark, vincitore nel 2023. Il principale indiziato per la vittoria è Rory McIlroy, uno che da queste parti ha sempre volentieri fatto bene. Del resto, è anche l’unico ad aver assommato tre vittorie, quelle del 2010, 2015 e 2021. Non può chiaramente dare la caccia al numero 1 (Scottie Scheffler è ad oggi troppo lontano), ma quasi tutti gli esperti sono concordi su due nomi, il suo e quello di Clark.
